There are so many anti wrinkle creams out there today that it’s tough to know what works and what doesn’t. The good news for you is that I’ve been investigating several eye creams on the market lately. My objective…to see which work and which do not live up to their claims. The typical claims that most companies make are: being effective at eliminating dark circles, fine lines, and puffiness around the eyes (similar to this product). During my search, Lifecell Anti-Wrinkle Cream kept coming up.
Before you start with the comments, I know, it’s not specifically an eye cream. However, it is effective on those with delicate skin, specifically the skin around the eyes, even though it is made for the entire face and neck. I found this to be one of the best things about this product. The fact that I could use it around my eyes and I didn’t need another product to use on the rest of my face was music to my ears. While it does drive results, I noticed that the results were not noticeably better than other products that had a cheaper price tag.
My Overview of Lifecell Cream
As if the effectiveness of Lifecell on the entire face and neck wasn’t enough to use this cream, the company also offers a free trial so you can test things out. You can see the effect of the product on your face before you purchase it. Sure, that’s a great bonus, but once you start paying, it may not be worth the money in the long run. Don’t jump to conclusions just yet though, read the entire review before doing so.
Some of the face care products on the market have various ingredients that might give you an allergic reaction, but you don’t know until you spend a lot of money. If you have a negative reaction to it, that money is wasted. This is a testament to the confidence of the company that they have a valuable and useful product because they are willing to give it away to prove to you that it works. One of the aspects of the product that is almost as important as its effectiveness is the fact that it’s scientifically proven to help reverse the signs of aging and it’s hypoallergenic, so it’s not likely to irritate your skin.
Manufacturer Opinions & Claims
The company website says that it is the scientific breakthrough in age-defying skin care that has taken Hollywood by storm and illustrates that claim by indicating praises for the product from stars like George Lopez, Tim Allen, Paula Abdul, JK Simmons, and others.
They claim that it’s better than a facelift and I am inclined to agree because it’s at least as effective and much less expensive. Besides offering a 30-day supply for no money down, they urge you to take a before and after picture to show you just how well their product works.
Key Ingredients Involved
The 2 most important active ingredients are Dermaxyl and Matrixyl 3000. Dermaxyl is a key ingredient that can assist in replicating similar results to retinol but it is less likely to cause irritation. It’s based on peptide technology that smooths out the appearance of deep wrinkles and fine lines.
Matrixyl 3000 is a peptide that is used to give the appearance of collagen synthesis and improves the glow of the skin. Other key ingredients are Hyaluronic Acid, Deanol, Vitamin A, Ubiquinone, and Vitamin C.
Again the full list is as follows:
- Retinol (Vitamin A)
- Matrixyl 3000
- DMAE (Deanol)
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C)
How To Use Lifecell Cream
You should always wash your hands thoroughly and do your normal cleansing routine on your face and neck before applying. If there is dirt or oil in your pores, the product will not absorb as well and you will not get optimal results. Put a small amount on the end of your finger and rub it into one section of your face at a time until it is completely absorbed and there is no oily feeling. Making sure that it absorbs properly is also important if you apply makeup or other cosmetic products over it.
Pros and Cons
The positive thing about the Lifecell cream is that it is effective at reducing wrinkles and puffiness around the eyes, but it’s not as effective at reducing dark circles. I should also mention that it does not contain antioxidants. I also find it strange that it omits another product, haloxyl. This is a proven ingredient that successfully treats dark circles and it is mysteriously absent in this product. Not sure why they’d leave it out knowing that so many incorporate it into their formulas. My guess is the costs involved are not favorable.
Does Lifecell cream work? Absolutely and it’s one that many celebrities and American consumers use daily. However, I’ve gotta be honest here. There are products available that are as effective as Lifecell Anti-Wrinkle Cream for a lower price. That said, you simply cannot deny that it works and you can’t deny that a 30-day free trial is a great incentive to test it out.
If you are going to try it, I would suggest signing up for the free trial. During that trial period, get out there and research other products within the 30 day period. You may find a product containing more active ingredients, yielding the same results and for less money.
